Here at St. Patrick, we are ever conscious of our call to Stewardship. Many of us give of our time, talents, and treasures in different ways and I want to thank all of you who have given so freely of your resources. Your gifts enable us to maintain our buildings and grounds, provide youth and adult education programs and support many charitable endeavors. I am very appreciative of your outstanding support and confidence.
In today’s electronic society, many of you shop on line, do your banking and pay taxes on line, plan trips on line all from the convenience of your home or office computer. Automatic bill pay is very popular now. As a result of this, I have been requested, by several of you, to add such an option in our parish.
I am pleased to announce that Parish Pay, which is being used throughout the nation, will be available starting in February. You can read full details by clicking here for additional information and any questions that you might have.
There are many benefits to you and our parish when using this optional offertory payment plan. Most importantly is the fact that you have full control over your donations at all times. It is a convenient way to help the parish maintain its income level to meet expenses, provides accurate accounting for your tax purposes and it will save the parish time and money. It is also a method to assist our Finance Council in projecting our annual budget. As many of you who have attended Mass here on weekends during the summer know, our attendance is much lower. Yet, our parish operating costs remain consistent.
Parish Pay is the new automated giving program that allows gifts to be made electronically and automatically transferred to our parish. This program is ideal for our parish. It helps us to be good stewards and take care of St. Patrick even when we are away.
This is an important endeavor for our parish, and I hope every family seriously considers enrolling in this optional program.
